Abstract

Molly McClain is a professor in the department of history at the University of San Diego and coeditor of The Journal of San Diego History. She is the author of “The Scripps Family’s San Diego Experiment,” in the Winter/Spring 2010 issue of this Journal. This article forms part of a forthcoming biography of Ellen Browning Scripps.
