Morro Rock – Morro Bay, California, San Luis Obispo County – Standing guard at the entrance of Morro Bay, 14 miles west of San Luis Obispo, is the great Morro Rock, one of the wonders of California Coast scenery, 576 feet high, often referred to as "the Gibraltar of the Pacific."
