Excerpt from Message

Dear Mother, I don't think I could ever be able to tell you half the wonderful and hilarious things that have been happening to us - but you do have my promise of a long letter once things begin to settle (a little, at least!) As you see, today we went to Canterbury, and from "the Tabard by the Sotuhwerk" truly! Ireland, to backtrack a little, was indescribable and now we pay tribute to books and men of books - at Stratford - and all over London. Every minute seems more full than the last and hedonism seems ridiculously simple - at least on paper! Never fear though!!! So much to tell - please! Patience. Vicky / PS Perhaps Mre. McShane would like the post card for her collection? / PPS Pray sil vous plaît!
