Excerpt from Message

July 19, 1960, Leeds – England – Dear Florie, What a dear you have been to get me in touch with Alice. I had written her and hope she did know we were kinking of her – Now we have been Edinburgh and on to Leeds and to York. Where we opened a beautiful day, exciting one 25 miles on from York at Helmsley – The most fascinating Castle, in ruins, the land in contour one never sees – so green, graceful, finished there and went back following the Loche Bus – a rare experience and so much fun. We leave for London from here tomorrow by train and back to Dublin August 1st for the Horce show. We are enchanted with Ireland. See Ports of lone to Alvee with my real appreciation and looking forward to seeing you. Frances.
