Excerpt from Message

[back] The crowds here are something appalling. O how do you spell that – actually my head is a buzz - we walked up the Blvd. Montmartre, Poissonniers, [illegible]- got money changed at Credit Lyonnais, ate a beef steak at Restaurant Bois – Friday fare - and here we are – we go now to get Maggie’s suit – and then I hope for you samples, but if too tired not today. Love and Best Wishes – weather warm sunshiny but uncertain – I am earning my jacket. [front] I'm passing through court of the Louvre. Maggie is duly impressed with its magnificence. I still carry my envelope for you and cannot resist sending this. 2 o’clock, Oct. 10, 1902
