Excerpt from Message

09/05/1964 My husband and I are touring Europe for 6 weeks – here we are in Paris and when I saw this lovely Basilica today I thought of you, I wanted [illegible] to come with us – she would love it so. We flew direct to London from Los Angeles, and we came leave here tomorrow for Cologne, then Berlin, Munich, Venice, Rome, Geneva, then Madrid and Lisbon – we have a letter of introduction to a Cardinal Marella in Rome. I’ll say a special prayer for you in St. Peter’s. Katherine Byrne Amelunxen
