Excerpt from Message

II Mexico – D.F. Aug-5-1940 / Dear Miss Sheedy – so after you an Miss Nellie have been in my thoughts (and you are always in my heart) since I have been in this lovely Mexico – I haven’t a candle for you at the Basilica – and yesterday we went to the Jesuit [illegible] of Tapestry altar where we saw seven chapels as large as this one – if you put these two cards together you can glimpse their beauty – What would Mexico be [illegible] the glory of the Padres! My love - Benicia
