Excerpt from Message

France 7/2/55 Dear Mother Furay, I thought you would be interested in having a picture of this perfectly preserved medieval city. We went all through it and I closed my eyes and saw the knights and ladies riding along. In the theater here, the Comedie Français did MacBeth and Hamlet + with this medieval setting it must have been quite effective. The trip is really marvelous and I know Daddy is with me every step of the way. Love, Helen Mother S. Furay
