Excerpt from Message

August 16th 1902 My Mayrum – We walked here and back – ah me – Yesterday. I bought this postal by this lodge. This picture gives no idea of the place – which is about the grandest most awful bit of natural scenery I ever saw. But I tarry too long on such insignificant trifles. [illegible] cake like you had when Miss Parker had tea with us – with hope of raisins and currants. I taste it in anticipation. Did K receive the postal from Mr. Cr. Which I forwarded to her? I cannot refrain from writing on the [illegible] of the waters. In reality this is rustling – roaring torrent. [illegible] / Dearest – we hope for a letter today. If Agnes is keeping postals we will have to divide with her. Love to you from Mother.
