Excerpt from Message

Easter 1960 / The who family are spending the five days of Olana’s Easter vacation here at Taormina. We actually went swimming yesterday – at least the children did. Lue is still very lame but has regained the use of his foot without an operation. It is sweet to see Margaret guiding him up and down the steps & hills here. There is a very old Norman Cathedral and a Greek Theatre dramatically situated so that the audience look out over the ocean & mountains with Mt. Etna as back drop for the plays. Really a stirring subject. So much love for all. Devotedly, Ellie Calderon.
