Excerpt from Message

Dear Mother Danz, We trust your summer schedule has left you time to relax before September’s horde arrives! We love Rome – her ruins and fountains and treasures. Yesterday was crowned with an audience with “all Papa” and we had seats near the throne! He is so full of life and love for all. One of the girls on the tour’s grandfather helped us get the wonderful opportunity. / We feel very close you right now besides it’s 5 AM and we leave for Naples in one hour. This early hour is [illegible] but worth it. I got to see Mater yesterday and she is much more beautiful than her pictures – the colors are deeper and richer. Also we had a English speaking nun show us through. I registered in the book too. Love, Pat & Elaine.
