Description
Etched bookplate on green paper, in dark green ink, made for Alice Hitchcock Ercolini. It shows a cat sitting on a table, with a vase either side of it. One vase is filled with flowers, the other with fruit. A parrot eats fruit from the vase. In the bottom left, there is a small depiction of a bird perched on a shelf of books. The design was adapted from that of a 19th century French wallpaper.
