State Capitol, Denver, Colorado – State Capitol – The Capitol is a commanding structure, Corinthian in architecture, built of Colorado gray granite with the interior finished in onyx and bronze. Over 30,000 people yearly visit the dome which, rising 272 feet above the ground offers a splendid view of the city and 150 miles of snowy peaks.
