Caption

Staple Inn – Holborn – London. Old Houses, Holborn. – Known also as Staple Inn, Holborn Bars. These old houses are one of the few symbolic landmarks of the past history of London, and the old courtyard behind offers to the jaded visitor or citizen a restful retreat. It was here that Dr. Johnson wrote his famous "Rasselas."
