Caption

This Mission was built in 1730, and is in an almost perfect state of preservation; the chapel is used for mass every morning. Located within two miles of the heart of the San Antonio business district, it is one of the chain of Missions built by the early settlers for the promulgation of the Christian faith, and for protection from the Indians.
