Abstract

This Article presents the address made by Justice Stevens at the Nathanial L. Nathanson Lecture Series at the University of San Diego School of Law, on October 10, 1984. Justice Stevens pays homage to Nathaniel L. Nathanson and discusses some of the important issues surrounding the balance of power between Congress and the Judiciary and the need for judicial restraint.
