Abstract
This workshop will provide an overview of key themes from SPARC’s Journal Negotiation Community of Practice and solicit input from participants on what additional resources would be useful for their institutions. The session will seek to equip participants with strategies and tactics to advance current discussions around aligning journal negotiations with the broader goal of reaching a system for scholarship that is open by default—or to lay the foundations for the beginnings of these conversations. Given the diversity of institutions present at the Symposium, the workshop will also delve into the needs of different types of institutions and identify any gaps that exist in the community of practice or its associated resources.
