Description
A memorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate frame with the Harvard College emblem at the top, which includes the word “Veritas” within an open book. Below the emblem, the text reads “Harvard College Library.” Further down, the text continues: “A Gift in Memory of George Augustus Nickerson A.B. 1876. LL.B. 1879. 1904.” At the bottom, the word “Folk Lore” is inscribed. The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley, 1904,” is located at the lower left of the bookplate.
