Description

A pictorial bookplate in black ink on light sepia tinted paper. A lady is playing the piano with one hand and holding a small notebook with the other. In the background there are silhouettes of people and trees. The illustration is framed with musical staffs along the left, top, and right side of the border. Instead of musical notes, there is a phrase written "who hears music feels his solitude people once & who receives crue verse at eye or ear takes in wich verse time place and person too so links each sense onto its sister sense grace like." At the bottom of the illustration in the middle of the border, "Elizabeth Adalaide Martin" is written on a musical staff that also has flowers on it.
