Description

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Baja collegiate design series allows engineering students to design, build, and test a single-seat, 4WD vehicle in multiple competitions with other universities from around the world. The goal is to build an all-terrain sporting vehicle to be a prototype for a reliable, maintainable, ergonomic, and economical production vehicle intended for sale to the nonprofessional weekend enthusiast. The 2023-2024 USD Torero Racing Baja has begun construction on a new vehicle, targeting steering improvements, a more robust gearbox, and continuously variable transmission (CVT) testing, as well as the inclusion of a shaft-driven 4WD system.
