Abstract
As interest in open educational resources (OER) as a cost, access, and student success solution grows within higher education, libraries are increasingly taking the lead on advocacy and implementation of OER initiatives. However, determining where such initiatives should be housed and how to leverage the skillsets of library staff can be a challenge. In this workshop, we’ll discuss fundamentals of OER outreach and programming, challenge narrow conceptions of information literacy, and explore and create learning opportunities that demonstrate natural overlap between the two.
