Architecture Roman style, resembling St. Peter's in Rome. Cornerstone laid July 4th 1897. Consecrated Nov. 18,1928, created Basilica by Pope Pius XI, March 10, 1929 216 feet land and 116 feet wide seating 1,840. Altars and pulpits are of marble.

Dear Mother It’s 4 Jan 1957. There will be much to tell you about my visit here. Live all these grand little trips I’m making. Brother Rev C. improving greatly. Did not have time to write from Milwaukee to thank you for 29 Dec. letter. Did so appreciate hearing from you. Love you you and all. I know you will keep up in your prayer.
