Caption

Pulpit Terrace, Yellowstone National Park – The Mammoth Hot Springs terraces, covering an area of nearly 200 acres, are in reality travertine in the making. The delicate coloring of the formations, beautifully crystallized, exquisitely plated as if covered with frosted silver, the singularly blue transparency of the water, combine to form an effective indescribable beauty.
