San Francisco's City Hall is a splendid edifice on the French Rensaissance order of the Louis XIV period forming a hallow rectangle enclosing a square centerpiece with galleries tying it to the main building, the whole building being surmounted by a lofty dome, rising 300 feet from ground level.
