Excerpt from Message

Dear May, My friend in San Jose is really showing me northern California, We had lunch of arab salad at a place in Santa Cruz overlooking the bay with the children playing in the waves, etc. Very picturesque! The best trees, the canyon and streams intrigue me. The flowers astound me with their size, brilliance and profusion. Wish you were here. The stockings and slips are lovely. Mary
