Excerpt from Message

Dear Mother, Florence is certainly a charming place isn’t it? I was so sorry not to have been able to pay a visit to the convent before we left but time sick was a draw back. I enjoyed seeing the convents in Rome more than I can say, also the one in Naples. They are alike the world over aren’t they! We have been motoring through Italy but much to one [illegible] we give our chauffeur up in Lucerne next week. Lovingly, Mary McCourtney
