Excerpt from Message

We are on our way to the station in Munich. Have enjoyed Dresden and Nuremberg immensely. This is a mediaeval instrument of torture called the Iron Maiden – you see how it works. We are all well and getting uncomfortably stout. Maggie has not had a sick headache yet – I hope you are all well – Give my love to M. Devoy . I will write to her next week. I owe everybody. I know a letter – I shall be kept busy writing – Lovingly, Agnes.
