Excerpt from Message

Dear Aunts, We leave here tomorrow, for Partenkirche. The scenery, they tell us, is more wonderfully beautiful there, than here. It must be ideal. Instead of going by train – we will go by carriage – two horses, through the mountain[illegible]. This certainly is the greatest little village imaginable. It is all beautiful but long to get back to uncle. From my window here I can see high mountains and green vallies and also can I see a wee small pussy cat in the garden such a nice gray fluffy little pussy. I fed it a good share of my sardines at lunch – hence it is a devoted follower of mine. Well I think this postal is almost “chock full” so with best love to you both – and a good round kiss, I am – as always- your most affectionate niece – Genovefa Maria
