Caption

A springtime contrast on the desert-A gay blossom of yellow atop a giant barret cactus which sometimes grows six feet tall over a 20-30 year period. They contain a slimy juice often reputed to have saved lives on the hot, arid western deserts but hardly fit to drink otherwise.
