Excerpt from Message

(front) I have no good picture of the porte- cochere. It is massive & low red and white stone. It is very dignified and grand – I think. (back) We are finishing the Imperial Twilight by Harding. Very interesting – very sad. It seems strange the author should consider herself a Catholic and say the anti-Catholic things she does in her books. Have you read “The Bishop Jots it Down”? It is delightful reading so far. We are just beginning Bishop Kelly’s description of the foundation of the Catholic Extension Society. Yes, we hear many more planes in flight across our skies, also some new types sometimes, I never saw before. We too, are asked for old aluminum utensils and tin foil.
