Within this border, the text “THE LIBRARY OF THE COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY Williamsburg, Virginia” is prominently displayed in a serif typeface. Below the text, there is an illustration of two figures, one in colonial attire and the other representing a Native American, flanking the seal of the college. The seal reads “SIG. COLLEGII GULIELMI ET MARIAE IN VIRGINIA”.
