Description

Etched bookplate on light pink paper, in red ink, made for Mary Alice Ercolini. 'Books of the Orient' is written at the top of the image, which depicts two women in Japanese dress. One kneels, with pen and paper in hand, and looks up at the other woman, who stands on a platform, holding a tree branch. In the bottom right corner, there is a small depiction of two women with parasols crossing a bridge.
