Description
An etched pictorial bookplate on light sepia paper with black ink. On the top is a banner saying "Ex-Libris" and below that is a group of 12 people, both male and female, dressed in sports gear some holding sports equipment. Underneath the athletes is another three banners saying "Edward Burton De Groot". Below the name is a passage/quote "Here shall a realm rise mighty in manhood". Below the passage is a big group of children playing on a shore with a big building in the distance behind them. There is a woman holding multiple laurel wreaths in a toga on the left side. On the right side there is a man also wearing a toga holding the world in his hands. They are both standing but in different positions.
