Description

An etched pictorial bookplate on light sepia paper with black ink, commissioned for Charles Kofoid Atwood, a professor of Zoology at UC Berkeley. On the top there's a banner that has "ex libris" written on it. There looks to be a picture of a library window with two shelves of books. On both the left and right are orchids. Underneath that are three banners spaced out with the name "Charles Kofoid Atwood" with a crest of a knight in the middle. There is a circle under it on the left and right are featuring a small circle design and a football. On the bottom there is an image of a boat with a large wave in its wake. The image includes a cross-section of a trailing net under the sea, seemingly catching seashells.
