Description
An etched pictorial bookplate on light sepia paper with black ink. The top is a portrait picture of a man with roses and leaves surrounding it. Beneath the portrait are a few sentences, "This book is from the library of the late George Benjamin Carpenter/A citizen of Chicago since 1850 and a loyal resident of Park Ridge 1871 to 1912 As a memorial to their father this gift is made by his sons to the Public Library of Park Ridge January 1913"
