A pictorial bookplate on sepia paper with black ink. There's a black and white cat sitting on two pieces of paper that are on a closed book. Behind the cat is an open book standing upright with the initials MEW vertically on the left page. There's a candle behind the book and it's flame is curving around the open book. Underneath the picture is the name "Mary Elizabeth Waterman".
