Description
An engraved pictorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink. There's a fish flying out of the water with a fisher's line in it's mouth. Below the fish is an open book next to a couple other books. Above the fish in the middle there are two hands shaking with a banner wrapped around in German saying "Pflichtgefuhl und Ihatkraft" which translates to "sense of duty and drive". The bookplate says "Ex Libris John Gerard Heckscher", ex libris is used to identify the owner of the bookplate.
