Description

An engraved armorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink. There's a crest split into one side being the stripes from the American flag and the other half is a deer's head. The crest shape is subtle because it's surrounded by calligraphic leaves. There's a knight's helmet on top of the crest and a deer's head on top of the helmet. There are three banners that collectively says in latin "Nvlla Vestigia Retrorsvm" which translates to "no trace back". There's an open book with a big calligraphic "L" on the right page. There is a harp next to the book and two theater masks beside the harp. The banners on the bottom collectively say "Ex libris Marshall Clifford Lefferts", ex libris is used to identify the owner of the bookplate.
