Description

An engraved pictorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink for the Grolier Club. The location written is New York and Founded in 1884. There is a window like frame with five different images in each section. The top is a man standing next to a lady who is sitting with a book in hand. They look to be in a classroom. The next picture is a person working on a barrel and a child running by in their home. The third image is people working on books and paper. The fourth image is a man sitting at a desk writing. The last image is of people woodworking. The rest of the bookplate is calligraphic leaves with crests, leaves, banners, and books. The top crest has three stars and three circles vertical. There's a coin with Nathaniel A Hawthorne's portrait.
