Description
A pictorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink for George William Beatty. There's an open book that has a quote written "'Men's work in making books is all in vain, if books in turn do nothing to make men.' From the Italian of Guisti" The book is resting on a stack of books and there is a candle that was freshly burned out. Framing the book is a circular calligraphic leaf border with some flowers and the letter "B" on top with the date 1901 written on the book.
