Description

A pictorial bookplate on sepia tinted paper with black ink belonging to Adelaide Youngman. "Ex-Libris'' is used to show who the book owner is. There is a dog laying down in front of the lit fireplace. On each side of the fire are bookshelves filled with books and there is a table next to the dog with a book titled “Progress and Poverty”. There are three lamps sitting on top of the fireplace. Above the fireplace illustration is a ship on the water bordered by boat equipment. Above the ship illustration is a globe that says “The Earth is the birthright of all mankind” around the edge of it. Above the globe is a rope tied in a loose knot in the middle. The borders for the whole illustration are tree trunks on each side that is connected by a banner along the top.
