Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on white paper features a female figure with a banner inscribed "labor", holding two shields with the "CITY OF BANGOR" and "BANGOR MECHANIC ASSOCIATION" seals. The bookplate is inscribed with "BANGOR PUBLIC LIBRARY ESTABLISHED A.D. 1883" and "FROM THE MECHANIC ASSOCIATION FUND," acknowledging the support from local labor organizations.
