Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on sepia tinted paper for the memorial of John Anderson from the Portland High School Library. There is a portrait of a young man wearing a military uniform. The image is framed in an oval and there is an oil lamp at the bottom of the frame. The background of the framed portrait is a shore with trees. Underneath the illustration is a quote "O, go not out thou flame of all the past" and below the quote it says "Presented by the class of 1872 in memory of John Anderson".
