Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate, symmetrical frame with scrollwork and floral elements. At the top center is an open book. On either side of the book, there are decorative elements including palm fronds and circular emblems. The words “Ex Libris” are displayed on ribbon banners integrated into the design. Below this, the name “Charles Edward Holbrook” is prominently displayed in bold letters. The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley 1905,” is located at the bottom center of the bookplate.
