Description

A pictorial bookplate in sepia ink on off-white paper. The illustration depicts a serene forest scene with two Native American figures. One figure is standing and the other is seated beside a small fire, with smoke rising. In the background, there are tall trees and a mountain range. At the edge of a river or lake, a canoe is partially submerged in the water. The text “Ex Libris - Charles E. Cameron - 1897” is inscribed below the illustration. The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley Del. Sc. 1897,” is located at the bottom right of the image.
