Description
A pictorial bookplate in black ink on off-white paper. The design features an ornate frame with architectural elements. At the top, there is an open book with a ribbon banner that reads “Ex Libris.” Below this, the text reads “The Reading Club St. Matthew’s School Burlingame Cal.” The central image depicts an inviting reading room with bookshelves, a window showing a scenic landscape, and a globe. At the bottom, a ribbon banner with the text “Norman Delarue Cox Memorial” is adorned with decorative plants and flowers. The artist’s signature, “J.W. Spenceley, 1908,” is located at the bottom center of the bookplate.
