Center for Cultural Development
Our Mission
The Center for Cultural Development (CCD) is committed to advancing pluralism, equity and mutuality at the University of San Diego in the broadest sense. The center provides the catalyst, collaboration and accountability necessary to cultivate and sustain a diverse and inclusive community.
Our Goals
The goals of the CCD are to enhance student learning, to create a campus culture that celebrates diversity and inclusive excellence, and to grow innovative practices to address the ever-shifting politics and poetics of difference. The CCD endeavors to be a stimulating, welcoming and engaging place for all members of our campus community.
Our Vision
The CCD seeks to create an inclusive university where humanity’s differences are justly represented, respected and recognized. We strive to provide cultural capital to counteract historical and contemporary barriers that limit possibilities. We hold the conviction that critically exploring our differences and commonalities will create a community that sees God in all people and recognizes that all deserve respect and love.
