Description

This collection contains the memorabilia, primarily certificates and awards, and videos of the University of San Diego's first three Presidents. Inauguration materials for both President Hayes and President Lyons include congratulatory certificates from various institutions, inauguration invitations and programs, news clips, and inaugural celebration videos. Awards for President Hayes and President Lyons include plaques, certificates, and commemorative plates from a variety of institutions including the United Way, the County of San Diego, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Materials from President Hughes' tenure include meeting minutes from Hughes' establishment of the Administrative Council, materials for Hughes' retirement, and a Heart of San Diego interview with Dr. Hughes. Interview videos of President Hayes, commemorative photographs of President Lyons and Lyons' 2003 State of the University address are also included.

Finding Aids are tools used to aid research by describing the materials in a collection. University Records Finding Aids include historical and/or biographical information along with a description of the collection and a folder listing of the content.
