Abstract
My research aimed to create a more restorative master’s entry program in nursing that provided high support and accountability for prelicensure nursing students. My research question was: How can we enhance the academic experience of students in a master’s entry program in nursing with a restorative approach to graduate more nurses and address the nursing shortage? The nursing workforce is significant to me because I work at the University of San Diego, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science. Participants included graduating master’s entry nursing students. The research methods included interviews, collaborative decision making, monitoring, and reflection. The outcome of my findings is we made short-term and long-term changes in three categories: student learning, communication, trust and support, and program operations and resources.
