Abstract
The workshop will focus on description and access for cataloging in the age of Resource Description and Access (RDA). Topics will include a brief introduction to the new Library Reference Model (LRM) and navigating the newly redesigned and restructured RDA Toolkit. Participants will be asked to send examples of resources in different formats, a selection of which will be used in the workshop for analysis and discussion. There will also be a brief section on Web metadata and issues relating to search engines and “federated” resources.
